First ActiveBE Scholarship Fund hits its targetOur My Green Pledge campaign reached its goal of 500 pledges. As promised, we are giving away a $10,000 scholarship to one deserving engineering student. Thank you to everyone who made the campaign a success by getting involved and raising your voice. A global selection process is currently underway to choose the recipient of the ActiveBE scholarship. We will announce it on this site as soon as the winner is selected. Check back soon to learn more.  Scholarship will help green building movementFew people know it, but buildings are the single biggest contributors to global warming. But it needn’t be that way. Most existing buildings can be engineered to reduce energy consumption by a third. New buildings can achieve even greater energy savings if they are designed to do so from the start. That could save thousands of tons of CO2 from being released into our atmosphere each day That is why architects and the engineers hold the key to climate change. The ActiveBE Scholarship Fund was created to help facilitate them in embracing this responsibility. |
